Spiritual Life

Learning today...Leading tomorrow.  It is more than just a slogan here at St. Peter Lutheran School, but a part of our identify.  We begin with a strong foundation in Jesus Christ, and extend into our relationships with teachers, students, and parents.  We then nurture and build upon our foundation to develop students that are examples of faith in the community.  The spiritual development, therefore, is a core value of our school, and at the center of everything we do.

Chapel

Each week students in grades K - 8 meet together in our church for chapel on Wednesday morning at 8:10am.  Students sit together with their chapel family (a mix of students in all grades)  and join together in our time of worship.  Chapel consists of songs, liturgy, Bible readings, a short message, and prayer time.
Students also take a regular part in our chapel services.  Every class is responsible for leading chapel twice a year.
Preschool students meet together in our church for chapel on  Wednesday morning at 9:00am each week.  The preschool chapel consists of songs, a short message, and prayer time.
Parents are always welcome to join us for chapel!

Devotions and  Bible Study

Students in all grade levels participate in daily devotions and Bible study.  Each grade has class time set aside to learn about events and people in the Bible.  Students in all grade levels also pray together daily and have weekly Bible verses for memory work.

Theme Verse

Each year, students in the seventh grade class work together to choose the following academic year theme verse.   Our chapel themes and messages focus around this verse.
This year, the theme verse is John 16:33.

Worship with us

Students and families are encouraged to join us on Sunday mornings for worship in our church.

St. Peter offers two services weekly:
Traditional Liturgical Service |  8:30 am
Contemporary Service |  10:45 am

On Sunday Mornings, we have a fully staffed nursery for young children during service times.  We also have Children's Church for children in preschool - 5th grade.  Children are invited to join in Bible lessons, a craft, and fellowship time following the children's message in each service.
